Contrast Intro 1

When deciding on what college to attend I felt sort of overwhelmed. There were two schools that were at the top of my list, and I had been accepted to both. It was obvious that I loved C-S more than USM, but I still kept USM in mind because tuition was far more cheap. I knew that if I went to USM I would be more focused on journalism, not actual creative writing like poetry and novels. C-S had a smaller campus and it was absolutely nothing like high school. It was expensive but it was private, so I would be getting a lot of financial assistance from the college itself. I knew that I would still have a lot to come up with by using outside scholarships, grants, and loans. I knew that I wanted to go to C-S much more than I wanted to go to USM. But I also didn't want to graduate college already being buried under student loans, so what was I going to do?

  1. What's C-S?

I could see this as an intro, if it had a stronger hook and lead-in.
