Reaction to A Cause Essay

         I kind of agree with Angele Ecks in her essay, love hasn’t been very good to me either, and it’s probably all been my fault. I think that everyone has things that they want to hide from their significant other because they’re embarrassing of something. I know that I’ve hid things from my boyfriends in the past that I think are too embarrassing to let other people know about. I also agree that selfishness can be a killer to love because it’s human nature to want attention and to be the center of it instead of sharing it with other people. As immature as her selfishness may have been, to fight with a 6 year old for attention, it’s not uncommon. I’ve become jealous of some of my best friends before because my boyfriend was paying them more attention than me after school. I think that fear can be the worst though because you can be scared of many things. You can become scared of how serious the relationship is becoming, of what other people will say, of what your parents will think of the person, etc. Fear is a basic feeling for everyone and it can be difficult to overcome it.
