I'm 17, a senior at Foxcroft Academyin Dover-Foxcroft, ME. This is my second college course, well technically third if you count AP American History. My favorite quote is "Life Is An Occasion, Rise To It" from the movie, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.

Cause Intro 1
In the summer of 2010 I was nearly bucked off a horse in a field in Gatesville Texas. I was scared afterwards, but I refused to let that fear prevent me from doing something that I loved doing, which was ride a horse. After taking a few minutes to gather myself I once again hoisted my body up into the saddle, leaving my mind momentarily on the ground until I was safe and settled in the saddle. I could have said screw it, and just stayed on the ground, petting the horse and wishing I could get the courage up to try again. Though a scary experience I learned a very valuable lesson from it, fear can be crippling, but to let yourself miss out on certain experiences because of them is pointless. Now I’m not saying that a person with a phobia of snakes should go to the Amazon, phobia’s are much more dangerous and serious than just normal fears. But if you’re scared of a bird just because one pecked you in the head when you were little is ridiculous.

In a cause essay you need to give three reasons why, three causes of something.
ReplyDeleteAre you setting up an essay here where you give the effects of nearly being bucked off? That's a different essay, one we deal with in a few weeks.
Anyway, at this point, I don't see the reasons jumping out at the reader.
