ISearch Brainstorm
A popular song has a topic that many people can relate to whether it’s serious or not. It normally helps, in any writing, to be able to inject one’s self into the story. A good song also needs to have an ear catching melody so that people will want to stop the radio on that song and listen. It intrigues people and grabs their attention by the horns. So my search should be a song that I write about an event that has had a large impact on who I am today.

It's already time for the intro, so it's far past time for me to be reacting to this, but, in a nutshell, you are going to have to introduce your reader to your personal musical history and tastes--you might as well just head into the intro and leave this assignment alone.
