I'm 17, a senior at Foxcroft Academyin Dover-Foxcroft, ME. This is my second college course, well technically third if you count AP American History. My favorite quote is "Life Is An Occasion, Rise To It" from the movie, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.

Cause Intro 2
Many people have asked me what goes into making a good poem, a poem that will intrigue the reader and make sense at the same time. In order to make a good poem you have to have three things, a topic, a scheme, rhyming or syllables, and a clear path. The only trick is that you have to be interested in the topic, it should be something close to your heart. Though not everyone likes the same poems, and not everyone can relate to the same things, if you can put yourself into your writing many people will notice and be attracted to the poem because of that.

Nicole--for this course, all the writing has to be personalized, has to have NB right in it right up to her elbows. Forget writing with 'you'--that's a shortcut that goes nowhere. Do you have a hs teacher who tells you not to use 'I' and 'me' in your writing? Forget that--you have to use 'I.' Have to. So give this another shot.
